In the low 50's here today. Bright sun and very little wind, so I burnt a brush pile today. Could hear and see the Grackles. And the Red Winged Blackbirds are back. I could hear them in the field behind me. They say highs in the 50's all this next week.
I'm being cautious here but I think spring is coming to Scotland!! We may still have night frosts but the snow is disappearing and I can actually see GRASS in the garden again.
Saw a Robin today !!!! But the day is gray (dooley's favorite word...haha), mild and a few sprinkles starting to fall. Some severe weather is forecast for tonight and rain off and on through Thursday. Yuck!
Another beeeeooootiful day today. It's 9:45 am and already at 45 deg. F. Was out burning some more brush and could hear Robins, but haven't seen any yet. Supposed to get to mid- 50's today. Rain later in the week.
*opens the door, looks out,,is met with mounds of snow and just a little path to get out. sighs. Closes the door, and refuses to tell Capt. Kirk what she really thinks of spring at the moment* But its sunny out!!
We had buckets of rain during the night but the sun is shining this morning. More rain tonight and tomorrow. Might be 70 degs today. dooley
Was setting on the front porch in the sun, in shirt sleeves a while ago. Noticed 2 woodpeckers in the one tree across the driveway. They have a hole dug out in it and are starting to line it with grass etc for a nest. So I guess spring is really here.
I love your sense of humor! HaHaHaHa 40F here but snowflakes flitting in the air. Go figure. Did I tell you spring is coming though?
It rained last night and it rained this evening. The plants are happy, so are the weeds and so am I :-D The breeze is really cool and nice, hmmm ...... YES it felt like SPRING has also SPRUNG here!! RAIN ( photo / image / picture from KK Ng's Garden )
Congratulations on your spring. I thought we had it, since we had rain and a very good melt-down, and I can actually see nearly half of our fence now, and one single snowdrop that's about an inch or 2,5 cm above ground, with a bud on it. But now it's snowing heavily again, for the second day running, and the forecast says three more days of the same. I feel like hibernating for another month or so.
