Had a morning with the children at the Royal Horticultural gardens at Hyde Hall which is just 5 minutes from our house. Thought you might like to see that spring is singing here at last! Oh wow wonderful to see the signs of spring somewhere EJ! Thanks for posting these...they really made my day
Ahhhhh perfect!!! Thanks for sharing your day out with us EJ. Spring has sprung here in Scotland too and I even saw a bee today. :-D
WOAH! Just feast yer eyes on those blossoms! Great pepper-upper, those. Thanks. It's so good to see things developing somewhere.
Yay, spring has sprung in Essex! I'm certain it's on it's way north, so I'll start looking for more definite spring signs now.
Wonderful photos Emma, I love Hyde Hall, will be visiting again this year with our local Hort Society....and to think we will only be 5 mins away from where you live
Absolutely Pat. Let me know when you will be there and I can make an excuse to have the day off and pay Hyde Hall a visit...then perhaps I could join you gor a cuppa.
Rats!! I wish I lived closer to you two as I'd love to meet you both in person. Never mind just take plenty of piccies for me as that will have to suffice.
That would be great Emma. No need to get time off unless you work on Sundays :-D We are going on Sunday 10th May. Will pm you nearer the time to arrange where to meet, probably where the coaches pull in at the cafe would be the best place. Shame you can't be there as well Eileen, but I'm sure we can provide you with a piccie or two :-D
YIPPEEE - I sure am glad for all you stewbies in the northern hemisphere. :-D Those are gorgeous flowers. Exquisite little snowdrops - I just love them. The crocusses are to die for.
EJ loving all your pretty flowers. May I pick a few of your up close ones? I like to use them as the background on my computer, especially during the winter months. So good to turn on the comp. and see a nice bright flower.
Very pretty, surprised to see a travelers palm (I believe?) don't you get very, very cold over there, how does it survive?
Yay Pat. I shall write it in me diary! What a fab excuse to go again. Petunia, you help yourself to the pics. I hope they brighten your days. SusieQ07, I don't know the variety of palm, we do get quite cold, but we are slightly warmer here in Essex than other parts of the UK. I have palms and bananas in my garden year round, altho the lovely huge Aloe I had has succumbed to the frost and snow this year which I am rather heartbroken about.
