Not the best picture but I couldn't kneel down to get a better shot.

What I can't quite get my head around is that we have some baby birds in the garden already. This is one of the fledgling Chaffinches that are hopping around.

It's way to early to have birds nesting but the Chaffinches seem to have managed to do it nonetheless. This little one just wouldn't co-operate and turn round to face the camera.

    Ja, ja...What a show-off!!! hahahaha.
I only have 4 snowbells at the moment and none of the other things.
    But that baby chaffinch?!!!

What the heck is going on there?

Anyway, great pics. I have heard that we are going to get another freezing spell in a few days. Do you have the same forecast?

If these gales die down then more cold weather is on the cards for us too. I don't think winter has quite left us yet.

Yippeee Spring is almost here. I really like photo #3 at ground level. All the sprouts! Did I say "yippee spring" yet?

It does seem a little early for my daffs to be at the stage they are doesn't it? These are the ones that are nearest the house though - the rest have a way to go yet.

Wow, Eileen, That is a sight for tired of the snow eyes. Thanks for sharing! Today is another 2-4 inches of snow and a high of 20f.

I agree with Carolyn ... what a sight for tired of the snow eyes! Is it usual for Daff's to bloom for you this time of year Eileen? And I am amazed at your baby birds too! I won't see either of those things for a couple of months at least! Thanks for sharing!
