I want to give a big Thumbs Up to the customer service reps at Springhill Nursery....Ethan, Nancy, Nicole, Venus, Edward and Kelly for the help they gave me in getting string of problems taken care of this summer. Last year I ordered a Phlox collection from them, got the roots in the ground last fall like instructed and watched three sprout....the other 6 disappeared into the underworld. I waited through this last spring and when the only three that sprouted gave up the ghost I figured it was time to ask for a refund. I emailed Springhill customer service and explained the problem to them. They immediately sent me a refund voucher by mail. Over the summer I lost the voucher so emailed them asking if it could be replaced, they sent me the voucher number to use with the order I had started on site. In the meantime one of the cookies they put on my machine was corrupt and wreaked havoc with my shopping cart, I had the dollar total but no list of plants. We got my cart emptied so I could start again. I got it refilled, used their half off coupon and entered the voucher number in the special instructions box. But it didn't show up as being credited on the final order. Again I contacted customer service and they got that taken care of for me. Basically I bought $100 worth of plants for $40 including shipping. About half of them will arrive sometime the first week of October, the rest next spring. I am pretty sure they dread seeing my email address show up in their in box on the computer but they were all very helpful and I really appreciated their help.
Isn't it nice when shops/nurseries/any commercial establishment has good customer service? It makes you feel that you are valued as a customer AND as a person! Glad you had a good experience with SpringHill. If you find you've ordered too many plants and just can't find a spot for them I have a few open acres . . . .
Now if only all companies could have such good customer service as SpringHill life would be so much easier.
SpringHill is local to me. Within 25 miles or so. They are really good people all round. The onsite staff are for the most part certified nurserymen, which means they really know their stuff. A few year ago, I watched them diagnose a fungus on a Dahlia bulb/corm, and offer the correct action and chemical to cure the infestation for free. Of course the patron was local and well known to the staff. I've gotten lots of advice and plants from them in the past, and I'm sure I'll get more in the future.
I have a weeping pussy willow that was a gift from a family member from Spring Hill Nursery, and it is a lovely tree. I just have to keep my horses out of it... I hope to get more fence soon, so maybe they will not have to roam the yard any more before long... I dont like them to eat my flowers and shrubs.
