We are having temps in the 40's and 50's this week and may even reach 60 by the end of the week. The jet stream has finally moved north of us allowing southern air to move north.

Sunday we had 3 deer in the front yard and all of a sudden they took off running. We looked to see what had spooked them. My wife said there was something running up the driveway. Sure enough here came a skunk running towards the deer. I guess they don't like his smell either! But they are out of hibernation now. And the racoon activity is increasing at night too. Haven't seen any groundhogs yet. Or chipmonks either. So I guess they are still asleep.

So glad to hear that spring has arrived at your place CK. Now all I want is above freezing temperatures at night so that I can believe it's also coming here. :stew1:

Spring is here, too. It was 70 yesterday and 74 here today. It's to be 70's all week. I can stand that much better than the 20 with high winds we had last week. I hope it stays around now. I'm glad it's warming up elsewhere, too. I hope the snow doesn't melt too fast and cause flooding though.

Lovely springlike temps here yesterday too, but back to freezing overnight... and actually, this morning too. But it IS coming... supposed to be in the 60s (F) on Thursday or Friday!

We had a warm but windy day yesterday, but this morning we are back to -20°C. By the end the week it will be warming up again, but I'm sure that's not the end of winter!

I need a coin with a lot more sides to determine the weather from week to week here. Spring is here but it is lythargic and needs an energy drink!

Hopefully once it will stick around for you and once it comes back here it will stick around too.

Hello all, I have been neglecting my computer the past several days... I have been OUTSIDE!! Yea!!!
It has been absolutely gorgeous weather for us here. All the snow has been melting, and it's almost all gone now. And there was a LOT of it...
I know it is only February, but folks around here definitely have spring fever! It just seems to brighten everyone's mood.
Only last week, the temperature barely cleared single digits, and today it reached 70° !! Maybe warmer tomorrow! WooHoo! Can you tell I'm happy about something? I can see the ground again, and am beginning to dream of gardening days coming, and chores to do.
I know, it's still winter, and we can get more cold and snow, but this is such a great reprieve from winter! (thank you jet stream)
