Memorial Day here is typically cloudy/rainy. But ALL MONTH?? We have averaged one good day a week and we saw several migrating birds. Also an early spring trip to the coast yielded a new beautiful flower. And of course, my ever-present "weed", Lily of the Valley. American Goldfinch? Yes, American Goldfinch. I'll bet the Lily of the Valley smells great. One of the nice things about bird pictures from the west coast is we get to see birds that will not cross the Rockies. Otherwise we only see them in books. now I have seen a Western Tanager. Jerry
I also have a Lazuli Bunting, but couldn't find the photo while posting this. I will have to look for that one. This was a very exciting year. We also have evening grossbeaks.
