The fern now hangs on the sun room wall. Drove around the yard looking for a neat piece of wood. ( photo / image / picture from Donna S's Garden ) After vanishing, I used chicken wire and moss from the yard to hold my fern. That is really quite something, Donna. I am amazed at your ability to create something so impressive. I'll bet that fern will be with you for ages to come. But gosh--what a nice hanging you made3. Chapeau!
The piece of wood you found Donna is perfect. You'd think it had been made especially for your fern as it's the right size and shape to really show it off. Buying bits of wood similar to yours cost a small fortune over here. Well done on your lovely work of art. I have a feeling your fern is going to enjoy its new home.
That's great use of found and already owned objects, kudos! I just love stag horn ferns, that will look great.
Very nice work. When the plant gets larger you won't see the bird or wood. You do well with mixing art and plant.
Your epiphyte will love its new home, great choice. In the treetops of the Peruvian forest(ideal conditions) they get quite large, 3 feet or more. Jerry
