Finally I had the chance to get sowing some veggies for the allotment. I would have done more, but I ran out of potting compost. So far I have sown: Broccoli - Red arrow Calabrasse - Marathon Cabbage - Golden acre Broad Beans - Longpod Celeriac - Brilliant and Alabaster Dahlia - pompom mix Spring onion - Paris silverskin and White lisbon Brussel Sprouts - Brilliant Kale - Cavalo Nero and a mix mixed salad leaves sweet basil Leek - Goliath Verbascum Nigrum mixed sweet peas Perpetual spinach Cauliflower - All year round. I also have the following spuds chitting in the conservatory, and hopefully they will all get into the ground over Easter weekend. Bambino, International Kidney, maris Piper, Rooster, Dunbar Standard and Pink Fir Apple. I have itchy fingers now, so once I have some potting compost, I will start the tomato, chilli and aubergine sowing marathon.
Looking good, EJ. I did some sowing today myself. I'm really jelous of your Intnà Kidneys. Where do you order them from? I would like to check and see if they will ship to me.
I'm glad SOMEONE is able to start seeds...it's still early for us here. You have a wonderful assortment too. What type of Tomatoes will you grow this year?
Glad someone has gotten their hands dirty putting something in the ground. Only thing I have sown is some gourds to see if they will survive and plan to sow some snap peas soon. Everything else will have to wait until mid April.
Sjoerd, I managed to get my Int Kidneys at the local nursery, this is the first time they have stocked them. Wyvales also stock them.
