My three year old granddaughter, Ava, is an avid gardener also, and today she helped me start flower seeds: Aster, Calendula, Cosmos, Marigold, Rudbeckia and Zinnias. We find that we get better results by germinating the seeds in moist coffee filters until the radicle emerges. And, yes she likes her hair hanging in front of her face. It must be a new fashion statement. ;)

Okay, who is the lucky one? Ava, who has a grandpa who will teach her lots of really good stuff, or the grandpa who gets to play with Ava?

I call it a win/win situation. We both are lucky to be able to spend a lot of time together.
