I like that Kildale. Wonderful story and pics! What a feast for that guy!

Once, in Colorado sitting on a stone wall looking out over the Rockies, chatting with a friend, snacking on some trial mix, a big jay swooped down our of nowhere! and snatched the peanut right out of my hand! I wasn't looking so boy, was I surprised! They'll do anything for a peanut I guess.

Thank you both, Daisybeans and Eileen, they are fun to play with, I hide them in quite a few places and they always find them. One used to come knocking on the window.

First of all, what a beautiful bird. And how did you get him trained? That's amazing. Great shots also!

Thank you for the posts. The birds just get used to me I guess. The pileated is the latest that comes for a snack more or less every day, she sits on an archway while i shove a bit of suet mix in a log on the deck. The other two I have posted before.

I would be totally tickled if I could have a wild bird eating out of my hand. They know a good guy when they see one, huh!

It is rather neat when they trust you so much.
