I have been Stewless for days......it seems like forever. Some places just don't have WiFi :-(

Pictures of Bryce Canyon and Yellowstone National Park tomorrow, maybe tonight if I'm not too tired. Now it's time to eat.

Bryce canyon in Utah is well noted for its Hoodoo rock formations. Soft sedimentary rock is capped by a harder layer of rock. The resulting irregular erosion lends to the totem pole shapes from 6 feet to the height of a 10 story building. Over the thousands of years of erosion old Hoodoos collapse to be replaced as the cliffside erodes making new Hoodoos.

I love the pictures. It looks and sounds like you are having a great time. We lived in Arizona for 20 years and never got to Nevada and Utah but we covered Arizona pretty well. Is it too far for you to go to the Grand Canyon?

The Grand Canyon will be the last National Park on the tour.

We stayed at the Yellowstone Lodge while in the national park. A imposing wooden structure that has charm and warmth over a century old. Made of Lodge Pole Pine, the accommodation rises over 70 feet into the blue Wyoming sky. Massive doors open to a main lobby populated by poles over a foot in diameter supporting a log roof 5 stories up.The wrought iron enhanced interior echoes the beginnings of an architecture that had its genesis here over 100 years ago. Copied many times but never duplicated, it is still unrivaled today.

Stairs lead to the "crow's nest" where an orchestra played music for the guests. In 1959 an earthquake damaged the supports, it was deemed unsafe and never used again.

Jerry.... hope you and Joyce are having a great time.
Love the photos. Now quit playing on the computer and get some rest... we don't want you to me too tired for the next part of your vacation. ;)

Edited to add: Guess we were posting at the same time. That place looks awesome!

Good to hear you are seeing and enjoying! Your photos are fabulous. Old Faithful must have known you were arriving and timed its spout just right.
