I have these border lilies that are about two years old. We have had a much worse winter this year than normal, I was just out looking at the beds and noticed that the bulbs are on top of the ground almost, do I need to take them up and replant them before the leaves put up, just put some more soil on top of them, or leave them as they are? Please help! Thank you so much. flowerlady2000 Storm Lily ( photo / image / picture from flower1lady2000's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from flower1lady2000's Garden )
Lily bulbs should be 2-6 inches below ground surface, depending on variety, so before they have a chance to dry out or get sunburned I would go ahead and replant them.
Nice lilies! Please put them back into the ground like toni said. They do tend to dig themselves up from time to time. I replant most lilies bare a species I just can't remember the name of that comes out of the ground in a matter of months, and seems to thrive growing like that. So I just leave those.
Thank you so much, I will try to take care of that tomorrow and maybe we will have some more beautiful pictures later. Thanks Again! flowerlady
