I see what you mean about all the clearing up you have to do. Some of those limbs and branches look rather heavy so please take care when moving them.

Yes, please be careful when cleaning that mess up, and take frequent breaks!
I noticed a power line in one of the photos--did you lose power at all?

The only kind of garden pics I don't like. Years ago a lot of our trees lost their tops due to a late spring snowstorm. The trees do recover but it takes awhile.

Wow. Is it unusual to get such a storm this time of year?
Hope you have someone to help with all that clean up.

Up until about 5 years ago, it was unusual to get that type of storm anytime. I use the yard tractor to move the bigger stuff, and some it has to be cut up with the chain saw. And the small stuff I put in a trailer. We are moving all of the trimmings to an old stump and this winter, I will burn it. The bigger stuff will be cut up for firewood. We worked on it for about 2 hrs. this morning and had to quit because of the heat and humidity. So will be back at it on Wed. if it's not raining. Wed did lose power for about 3 hrs. but not from our line. We did have a tree top down on it and the power co. came out at 9:30 last night and cut it up and got it off the wire. The power line there has a support cable in it, so it didn't come down.

So, was it high winds that did all that damage? Geesh! What a mess. I wish I could send one of my company's tree crews to help, they would have it cleaned up in a flash. Hope your trees don't suffer too much, its never good for them to sustain damage.

So far August has been weird weather. Normally Aug. is hot and dry here. We had the storm Mon. and now this morning early we have had rain again. They had us in a Severe Weater watch, but it didn't turn severe, at least not here.

The rain is past us now, and I checked the rain guage. Another inch of new rain. That makes a total of 2 inches so far since Monday.
