Had storms come rolling through about 4:30 pm. 80 MPH winds and heavy rain. Some places got egg sized hail. Eastern Ohio had tornado watches up. Lost limbs out of 4 trees. One landed on the wood shed and damaged the corner of it. My wifes mother lives in Marion Ohio and lost all the big trees in her yard.
Sorry to hear this. Glad you all seem to be okay, though. It thundered something fierce here, but that was about all. We got next to nothing We are so dry here the corn is curling up and the weeds are wilted. The grass is crispy, you do not want to walk in it barefooted. I water daily and the tomatoes and peppers and raspberries have the drip running continually. There hasn't been much rain here for the last two months.
Capt Kirk, :-D :-D Glad that you mom is OK. It's sad to see trees go but they can be regrown. Barb in Pa. :-D
They went through here too. No dmage to speak of. No real rain to speak of either. Some promise of T-storms a couple of times so far this AM, but no rain to speak of again. I wouldn't mind a little B.J. Thomas/Butch Cassiday and the Sundance Kid thing going on right now.
stormed again early this morning! Lots of rain, lightning, thunder...didnt get any sleep for about 2 hours! ugh...love the rain though
Capt. K-- Glad everyone is ok. Hope your daylily hedge fared well too. My brother lives outside of Dayton....I'll call him today & see if that hail hit them.
My MIL is 93, so she won't see any trees regrown on her lot. Between the rain last night and the rain this morning, we got 3/4 of an inch. There is another cell of storms out in central Ill. that they say will be coming through here this evening.
