Almost a year ago, we went to the Chelsea Flower Show and I purchased a yellow iris, which I am pleased to report is growing well, a mixture of allium bulbs, which are all growing and most have flower buds on them, and a rather bazaar Arismea thing. Here is the piccy at Chelsea, and here it is in my garden. Ariseama ( photo / image / picture from EJ's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from EJ's Garden )
Oh EJ--that is a gorgeous specimen. I may have to look into getting one of those guys one of these days. I really do like this type of plant.
Cobra lily - Arisaema Sikokianum - and what a beauty it is!!! I had two planted up but lost them both last year. I'm hoping to get some more again as they are really striking plants.
I've got that too. It's such an ugly-charming plant I just had to have it. And wonders above all wonders, it's poking through so it's actually survived the winter too.
Arisaema sikkokianum is what it is, as Eileen says. If you are lucky and you get seeds, they need to be sown fresh. Cleaning off the flesh is a bit unpleasant as it is very astringent, wear gloves!. Sow in ordinary compost and leave exposed to the weather. Treat like any other bulb seeds after germination. If you do not want to bother, you could always send me the seed.
