I am trying my hand at growing Strawberries from seed. I got the Temptation Strawberry variety. From what I read I have to put in the freezer in air tight bag jar for 2-4 weeks then let reach room temp before planting. Any advice or tips I can use to make my venture a success ? :stew1:

I have grown a lot of seeds, but never have I started strawberries from seeds. I am thinking of doing it though. I saw a beautiful pink blossomed one in a catalog.

I grew mine last year from seed. They were an alpine variety. Very successful with them. I did not freeze them as where I purchased them from said I did not have to.
This year I just planted 2 varieties that are not alpine. I saved the seeds from berries that we picked at a strawberry farm. They might be hybrid but I wanted to give them a try just for fun. These ones I did freeze before I planted. I planted them on the 8th of January expecting to put them in the ground about end of May or first of June.
