Yesterday I made strawberry jam. DR took a couple of jars of it and gave them to the neighbors. We usually do this with jam, cookies, etc. because we don't need so much. Anyway, the one neighbor told him, "Yum!"
A little later I went to give her something and she said, "Boy, that jam was really good!" I said,"You ate it already. It was still hot." "But, it was good hot," she says. Her husband came to the door and he said,"See that little tree over there, take it with you."
It was a little mimosa tree in a pot. It's about two foot tall. It's only in a small pot so we bought a 20 gallon tub this morning and I'm going to move it into the tub and not plant it in the ground until it is bigger. It will have pink flowers and smells so good. Their tree is by the fence so we can smell it when our door is open. Bees and hummingbirds love it. Dooley

Haha exactly. Do you need geese? I don't think Susie the Goat would be too happy about that.

We had geese and we sold goose eggs. They weighed a third of a pound each. Unfortunately none of them were golden. Dooley

The Swallowtail butterflies love memosa too. I have a large on next to the shed and that is the favorite hangout of the Pipevine Swallowtail. Ours came back right on schedule yesterday and will stay here for a couple of months until the flowers are gone.

Dooley have you ever made the strawberry jam using Driscoll strawberries? That is the most wonderful jam ever. They show up in stores around here just in time for me to make a dozen jars for my oldest daughter for her birthday in June.....course a flat will make more jars than that so we get to keep some too.
