I -was- going to plant my rose bushes today, but it decided to rain instead! Why is it the days I have to be at work the weather is beautiful, but the day I finally have off its raining!? Grr...

At least I managed to plant some tulips yesterday when the weather was nice (before I went in to work). Theyll be purple :D

I now have the roses stored in the garage. I put them in the box they came in (kinda heeled in), with the roots covered with peat moss. My Roses for Dummies book said that was one way to store em till they can be planted ^_^

I feel your pain. Cold and rainy here too. I'm beginning to think about moving to Louisiana, I'm getting jealous of all the awesome gardens there!

Now listen carefully Jen. You need a pair of wellies (or flippers if it's too wet, a sowester hat, an all enveloping MacIntosh and a trowel. OK are you all kitted up - right go plant those roses!!! At least you won't have to water them in. :D :D :D

Seriously though I hope you get some dry weather soon as there is nothing more depressing than looking at the rain and then at your plants knowing they'll have to wait to be put in the earth.

Hope you get your nice weather so you can get your planting done. I have a lot to do, but it rained here to. Just depends on how wet the ground is tomorrow.
