Glad your repair is done and all is safe. Since my husband's fall from a roof, I don't let him up there. We would have to hire someone to fix ours because I sure wouldn't be any good at it.

DR goes on the roof and I hide my eyes and hold onto the ladder. I used to help my dad with roofing but wouldn't do it now unless there was no other way. Dooley

Couple of days ago I helped my husband to repair/replace gutters under the roof - some of them got damaged in the storm. When I said helped - I looked like I knew what I was doing - he was on the ladder and I was on the ground passing the tools.

    Love Lara

Congrats Richard on a job well done. That first rain after repairs is always filled with trepidation and wandering around to see if there are any more leaks.

We had to have a whole new roof a few years ago and still have several years left on the warranty....no roof work for us thankfully.

I convinced Ron that we should have a solar tube installed in the dining room. I knew if it leaked I'd never hear the end of it. I exagerate. I'd feel guilty all on my own. I was so relieved that after the season of storms the floor was dry. I don't even like going on the roof myself, Richard. I'm lucky Ron is nice like you and will go up instead.

I'm happy and proud for you, Richard, [IMG] "Job well done!!"
It must be a very gratifying feeling to have conquered your leaky spot.

Maybe I could get you to come and have a look at our roof??
We have a recurring trouble spot which defies all attempts at repair, [IMG]
nothing we do works for long (I'm sure our roofer cringes whenever his phone rings).
I badly want to replace the stained ceiling in our dining room, and the insulation above it,
but until we find a fix that lasts, it's pointless.

I am proud of Richard, and I had every confidence in the world that he could do the job, even without help. I am just glad they did it while I was at work.
Now, when the weather is a little warmer and not so rainy the quick fix will have to be redone with something more permanent.
