Laurent Schwebel was a French photographer who was recently stabbed and killed during a robbery in Buenos Aires. They wanted his camera. A huge loss to humanity.
Here is a video clip showing some of his photographs.

Few adjectives are worthy of his works, stunning comes to mind. A terrible loss, he will be missed.

How sad. I think we tend to think there aren't the "same" problems in other places as in the place we live. Makes me sad to see and hear of such a thing especially for the family left who must deal with the loss.

    Disgusting.
A loss is always terrible on so many different levels...but senseless and needless deaths make it even more difficult to accept than it already is.
    This is such a shame.

Cayuga I agree with you. Those are some amazing photo's and it is so sad that someone would have such a disregard for someones life to kill them because you wanted only what their camera could bring you in reselling it. Not in the value of his unbelievable pictures he caught. Yes it is very sad. Thank you for letting us know.

But he left such a legacy behind with his photos. Those who stole his camera and his life--what legacy are they going to leave?

Thank you for sharing this link, Eileen, those are the most impressive photo's I've ever seen, simply beautiful.
So very, very sad that such a mindless, violent act had to end the life of someone so talented .
