In the UK we have a wonderful idea called The National Gardens Scheme, whereby hundreds of private gardens open their gates to the paying public and all the money raised goes to a variety of national charities.most of them also sell tea and cakes which makes for a wonderful afternoon nosing around other people's gardens Soon after the walled garden was renovated they did their bit for the NGS and,it was a beautifully warm, sunny day. View Photo Album: Summer in the Walled Garden ( photo / image / picture from Kiasmum's Garden ) As you can see they have planted to attract bees and butterflies. I hope you enjoy the bright and cheery colours. Karin
What wonderful photographs. They have me longing even more for good weather and to see everything in flower again. I miss hearing the bees buzzing and the butterflies flitting around the garden.
I know about the "Yellow Book Gardens" over there. Thanks for the pics. ...You have good postings, miss.
Thank you Eileen.I know what you mean about wanting/needing more colour and bees and butterflies. Cheryl, they've done well haven't they. Thank you Sjoerd
