In the UK we have a wonderful idea called The National Gardens Scheme, whereby hundreds of private gardens open their gates to the paying public and all the money raised goes to a variety of national charities.most of them also sell tea and cakes which makes for a wonderful afternoon nosing around other people's gardens :D

Soon after the walled garden was renovated they did their bit for the NGS and,it was a beautifully warm, sunny day.

As you can see they have planted to attract bees and butterflies.

I hope you enjoy the bright and cheery colours.

What wonderful photographs. They have me longing even more for good weather and to see everything in flower again. I miss hearing the bees buzzing and the butterflies flitting around the garden.
