Got 6 mature ( 5 yrs. planted) forsythia bushes off craigslist for $5.00 each! What a steal.... just one bush at the nursery would cost as much or more than I got all 6 for! I had surgery Thurs. to remove a skin cancer from my arm & have 18 stitches, so no digging for me. My 2 sons went over & dug them, brought them home & re-planted them for me. Wanted them along property-line separating our yard from yard of neighbors I don't get along with, at all!

Now that's what I call a real bargain!! I hope your forsythia will not only create a barrier between you and your neighbours but also look beautiful when they all flower.

Fingers crossed that your wound heals without complications and that the cancer has now been eradicated. Take care.

Congratulations on your 'steal'. They will give you years of spring sunshine, right in your own yard. A little pruning here and there will have them a feature of your spring garden.
