So yesterday I was hiking in Wonder Lake state park. As I am on the trail by the lake a young black bear runs across the trail 25 feet in front of me. I stopped as does the bear. Bear is just staring at me. I instinctively take a step or two back then say "HEY BEAR!". The bear walks a few feet in the woods the stops to look at me again. I again say "HEY BEAR!" this time the bear scurries in to the thick woods. I stayed in my spot for a few moments looking and listening. Confident the bear is gone I moved along the trail in the opposite direction. Had another 3-4 miles to go. So I made sure to keep my eyes peeled and made noise. Sorry no picture I was more focused on what the bear than grabbing the camera.
