I may have not gotten much rain here at the house today... but take a look at what I did get!

The 2nd and 3rd pictures are really great! Prize winning shots indeed!

Red at night, sailors delight. Great sunset, but rain would be better.

Thanks S-H... sure was a pleasure to watch.

Jerry... even though we really needed more rain.... the flowers, trees, garden can be sustained with man-made devices, aka "water hose".

But a beautiful sunset...that only comes from Mother Nature or Father Sky or the Heavens.
    :-D

What a gorgeous sky!! My favourite is the second photograph. I would frame it and hang it on my wall any day. :-D

I posted the photos on our local ABC affiliate's website. And the weather lady chose #3 to spotlight during the newscast this morning!

those are beautiful, we don't, EVER, get to see the sunset from our house. We live on the east side of a rather large hill covered with very tall trees. :( thanks for the beautiful sight. carolyn

I agree with S-H,..the 2nd and 3rd pictures are top notch,..great contrast with the barbed wire!,..it looks lit up,..with green behind,..then black,..followed by sunset,..likewise for the other picture,..well captured Cheryl.

Thanks everyone for the kind words.
One of my brothers made a comment about the "corn" photo that just tickled me.
He said he didn't like it because it reminded him of one of those cheap "slash 'em up" movies where the bad people were chasing someone through the corn fields!

Don't mind him, he's probably just jealous. :D I like #3 a lot, but I also like the dark drama of #4. The first one I like because of the feathery quality of the clouds, and the second I like because of the corn stalks, not in spite of them. :D

    Droopy...
I probably took 20 photos within a span of 10 minutes. Then it took me 30+ minutes to decide which one's to post! :D
So I kinda picked them in a time-line (if that makes any sense)
I do have to give kudos to Hubby for suggesting I take a look from the garden area.
And I sure appreciate everyone's kind words!

They are each awesome in a different way. Beautiful, Cheryl. I'll bet that was an exciting progression to watch. The sky in #1 is incredible.

Daisy.... I almost missed it. I was inside doing something and noticed a reflection/"glow" out of the corner of my eye. Grabbed the camera and ran outside!
