Today is Friday the 13th, it's a Full Moon, the Full Moon is called the Honey Moon, and Mercury is in retrograde. This is the first Full Moon on a Friday the 13th since 1919 and it won't happen again until 2098. This Full Moon is called the Honey Moon because it is low in the sky, being close to the Summer Solstice the sun is almost as high in the sky as it will get and the light from the sun makes the Full Moon appear to be the color of Honey and if you are lucky you will see a rather large Full Moon too. Astrologically speaking the planet Mercury rules communication, travel, vehicles and a few other things. Retrograde means it's orbit appears to be going backward at this time, this happens 3 times a year each time for a period of 3 weeks. And during those 3 events many people notice more confusion in their lives, they forget little things and strange things happening around them.
Well, that retrograde thing explains a lot of my life! I'm all for a honey moon--we plan to harvest honey later this month. Think the honey moon effect will stick around that long?
Yep, the full moon in June is also called the Strawberry Moon because the strawberry crops are harvested then. The name given each full moon by the Algonquin tribes seem to be the standard. I think many call it the Honey Moon because of the color it appears to be in some parts of the world. https://www.moonconnection.com/full-moon-names.phtml And Mercury in retrograde had it's way with our car last night. Youngest daughter left for the store, didn't get a half block away when she heard the tell-tale flapping of a flat tire. I hope that is all it's going to mess with since we are going down to Randy's folks tomorrow for Father's Day.
