Was looking at the local paper this morning and there it was! My high school class year featured in the column of 50 years ago today! Noooooooooooo it can't be that long ago already!

My wife and I went to her 50th class reunion last summer but it was still a bunch of 18 year olds having a party. The events just ran a little slower. We even visited her old high school, still standing, but unused for several years. Some of the views were the same, even after 50 years. People hung around after the day's activities as if to eke out one last moment before leaving.

I will have my 50th reunion this summer some time. We have them every 5 years. We have people come home from all over the country, but the ones that live here local don't come to them. I really enjoy them just to see what everyone has been doing.

My 50th is only two years away. I haven't been to any of the reunions, I didn't like enough of those people when we were in school to make me want to reunite with them. Plus the activities they plan for the weekend are golfing for the guys and shopping for the gals. Two of the most boring ways to kill time that I can think of

If they did something like having a shooting match for the guys and junque shopping for the gals, we might be interested. ;)

Ours are always a dinner and drinks and everyone sets around gabbing! Which is what everyone wants to do anyway. Then the next day we all go to a classmates home on Indian Lake for a cookout and more gabbing. Very relaxed and generally a good time.

She turned around what was your maiden name. Glad I was dressed up and had make-up on :D We talked about how town had changed. And dances at Cobble Stone.

    Enjoy your reunion Capt.

I'm no big fan of reunions since I'm a bit like toni. :D I have been to one. I recognized most of the women but those bald, ageing men couldn't possibly be my age. :D

My 40th high school reunion will be this April. The school has the reunion for all the alumni. I have only been to two of them since it is so far away. I love to see my old friends, I still keep in touch with some of them and would be glad to hear from any of my classmates. I cant believe it has been nearly 40 years since graduation and most of us are grandparents now. Time sure flies. They have assorted activities planned, and I am definitely NOT interested in golf, the most boring sport in the world. They have some other stuff planned. I doubt I will go though as I prefer to stay home. My brother will be there and tell me all about it, but he lives close by our school.
