We've been looking for a matched set of lawn chairs for the front yard lately. All the sets see awfully expensive. Three hundred dollars for 4 chairs and a table. If you want an umbrella they are extra. Yesterday we saw an unbrella that cost $600.00 just for the umbrella and $694.00 for the table and six chairs.

A couple of days ago we stopped by a friend's house. She does yard sales and has stuff she puts in an antique shop. She had a table and four chairs in her carport. We bought them.

Yesterday we went to look for some pretty cushions for them. Four cushions costs twice what we paid for the table and chairs. I guess I'll make my own. I have lots of material.

What a lovely set of garden furniture - very modern and chic. :-D I think you've made the right decision to make cushions for yourself. Now you can pick exactly the colours and patterns you want and they'll be far more durable than any they have in the shops.

Way to go Dooley! I've been wanting to get something like that set and get rid of the old picnic table. But like you said... it can be expensive. And I think your idea of making your own cushions is a fantastic idea. I can't wait to see what material you pick out.

Very nice, light and white always looks good, and it will only need a hose down to keep it looking good.
    Good find!

Dooley, that is a lovely set, and will be even prettier with your cushions. Please post a photo when you get the cushions on.
