The Timber Rattlers are a minor league team affiliated with the Milwaukee Brewers. The field is only 10 minutes from home and we go to a lot of games...I think we have gone to at least 10 so far this season. This game they won...but their record isn't that great but it is so------------much fun to go and watch so who cares...not me. It is a day out for fun... Fang is dressed in a snake or rattlesnake outfit and the kids and adults love him. He makes it so much fun for everyone...he dances and jumps around and gets the crowd cheering..We personally think he is great.. Entertainment is the sumo wrestlers...golfing, and having people race to make a whopper hamburger as teams.. We plan on buying season tickets again next year...and they have fire works on the weekends to sit and watch and enjoy after the game. Sorry these are not very clear...things were moving fast... This is our first season for going to so many games...it is fairly cheap entertaiment and most of the time the attendance is over 5,000 people...they sing Happy Birthday to young children who have a birthday and most of the time offer a lot of free hot dogs to the children. The food ranges from peanuts, hot pretzels, ice cream, cotton candy and so much more...not a very well balanced diet...but so good..
With the price of major league game tickets skyrocketing there are more and more people attending the minor league games. The Frisco Roughriders, one of the Texas Ranger minor league teams, is about 20 minutes from us and their attendance has been thru the roof the last few years. We don't go because I can't sit in the heat but my oldest daughter's family has gone several times and just love it. Lots more fun than going to the majors.
Toni...we usually go to night games and we take seats by third base and in that stadium that means shade...Just like you..I cannot handle the sun when it is hot but we haven't had to worry very much about high temps for so long here...Sherry
I wouldn't know what happened out there in the field, but I think I would have liked the atmosphere. Will you take me if I ever get to where you live Sherry?
Sure Droopy we can try to get a ball game in...just make sure it is from June - September. I think our last game will be sometime in Sept. and then our chilly weather moves in....it can get chilly in Sept. but then we have a short warm-up and then the snow in Nov. or Dec...depends on Mother Nature. I know more about baseball than football. I watch football all the time when the Green Bay Packers play but I have no idea what is going on most of the time..
I LOVE baseball! Totally agree -- minor league is much more fun! Fang is a HOOT!!!! Great shots, Sherry! I like the pitcher and the catcher.
