I am owned by two rescued Chihuahuas, both under 4 pounds, and both believing that they're much bigger than they look. :-D I adopted Tango at 7 months from a woman who kept him in a cage 24/7, to protect him from her 4 very large dogs. He seriously didn't know what to do with any degree of space, he was so scared to be anywhere but his crate. Jazz was going to be euthanized because her owner was moving to a new apartment and didn't want to pay a pet deposit, so she became a part of my family when she was 3 months old. Here are the culprits in person. Tango's the cream, Jazz is the tri: Out for a walk Chillin' in one of their many beds. And finally, an artsy one that I created just for fun:
No, not musical. But I dance. I'm a ballroom dancer, so when i rescued Tango, I gave him that name because it's one of my favorite dances. Later, when I rescued Jazz, I couldn't find a decent ballroom-type name that fit her, so I decided on Jazz because it was descriptive of her personality and somewhat continued the artsy theme.
Too cute. We have three rescue dogs. It is too funny watching the ciara, a Doberman and Amber, the chihuahua Italian grayhound mix, play. I have never had two dogs that love each others company so much. Little Max is a poodle chihuahua mix. He is sooooo affectionate. All of their stories are so sad, but have turned out great.
oh I love them I am a chi fan I have a teacup her name is doodiebug I tried to name her babygurl and she would not come to anything but doodiebug
Ronni, when I read stories of how some "humans' treat the animals in their supposed care it makes me embarrassed to be of the same species... What wonderful little companions you have there and what a good job that you rescued them.
Yeah. Don't EVEN get me started! My daughter was a vet tech for a few years, and we ran an informal rescue out of our house for the poor sick, mistreated or abused animals she kept dragging home. Some of the stories........OMG! I am not a violent person at all, nor vindictive or malicious. But seriously, I feel no remorse whatever about believing that a human who abuses an animal, in whatever way, should suffer the same fate. I am sickened by the unfeeling callousness that some people are capable of when it comes to their pets because, y'know, they're "just" animals, so who cares? Ugh! Sorry, I'll get off my soapbox now. Thanks for the nice words about my two. They live a luxurious life now, that's for sure!
Hi Ronni,..two very cute little dogs,..i always love seeing and hearing about rescued dogs,.. your pictures depict a beautiful pair,..oh i think i would be on the same soapbox.
We'll need a bigger soap-box as I'd be right up there with you and Philip. I saw a lovely quote the other day which ran along the lines of "the more I know about people the more I love my animals"
Awesome pictures, Ronni! I envy you so much for having Tango and Jazz. Hope you share more photos of these cuties.
