I'm not sure what to call this sandwich, but it is very delicious. It's also very easy to make.

    All you need is:

2 slices of bread (white or wheat will work fine) toasting will also make it easier to spread condiments, but is not necessary.

    1 large radish

    1 hot banana pepper

    1 slice of havarti cheese

    2-3 slices of corned beaf

    stone ground mustard

    vegemite

Spread the mustard on one side of the bread. Add slices of beef then cheese. Add thinly sliced banana pepper then add thinly sliced radish. Last spread vegemite on other piece of bread. Put together and enjoy!

You know, I am just not thinking I am going to make one of these anytime soon. But you go ahead and eat one for me, OKAY? Radishes and hot peppers are not on my list of togetherness food. What is vegemite, by the way? I don't think it is something I have heard of before. Maybe it is regional?

:D Vegemite is a vegetable yeast extract. It's kind of difficult to describe its taste, but it tastes very briney. It's actually a product of Australia and apparently they eat it like we eat peanut butter.

Well, That is interesting...briny? I haven't heard of it before nor seen it I guess. Maybe it is regional and you are the distribution area at this point.

If you have a grocery store with an import section you can probably find it there. We tried it many years ago, not long after the Australian group Men At Work included it in their song "Down Under" in 1981. We found it at an import shop back then, not fond of it personally.

Yes, it is definitely a flavor to get used to. I actually found it at a World Market store.
