Just testing out my new camera. Before, I use to shoot videos from a still picture camera (results were poor quality videos). Now however I got a dedicated video camera [Sony DCR-SX44].

I shot my Classic Car Show video from it. But I've actually bought it for the upcoming Flower Show. Anyway, this one seems to take average quality pictures. But it has a phenomenal 60X zoom! So birds and insects no longer feel threatened by me.

    Anyway here are it's pictures.

This will lead to more great photos S-H. Brilliant news! I like the current batch.

Strange thing about it is that it can also take still pictures in 16:9 aspect ratio (cinema scope dimensions). However they are not high resolution.

It's video however is excellent! Plus the 60X zoom makes it a great tool to spy on shy creatures, like some bird types.

Here is an example of it's zoom, which a friend of mine uploaded on his YouTube account.

And guess what? It's smaller than a drinking cup (weighing only 190 grams)! All solid-state, no tapes or mini hard-disks.

Great photographs S-H and so clear and sharp. The zoom is fantastic too and if your photographs are all as good as these ones then we're all in for a treat.

Great photos! The insect pictures are so clear. I'd never seen a house crow before. The markings are so pretty compared to our black crows here.

Congrats on the camera... I'm very jealous of it's excellent zoom-ability.

Thanks guys, I guess I made a good choice to buy this camera. Aside from the upcoming flower show, I am also very much excited about the insect world!

Anybody here remember my spider in the web picture? If not then here it is again! Yes, I'll certainly be taking more shots like these in the future! :)
