I found these two tulips today. My daughter loves these big, pink ones. Daughter-of-WTxDaddy had a Texan-themed assembly/program at school today. The kids all dressed like cowboys & cowgirls. They pledged allegiance to Texas, sang Texan songs and had a great time. When she got home from school, still in her Texan regalia, I stood her in front of the wisteria & had her sing "The Stars at Night Are Big and Bright [clap, clap, clap, clap] Deep in the Heart of Texas". There is a lot of clapping with this song and she loves it! I think virtually all Texans know this song.
Awww, she's adorable! Wish I could hear her singing, because I don't know that song. Oh, forgot about your flowers there. Lovely tulips, and the wisteria's looking good too.
daughter Thanks for the compliments on my daughter. Of course, I find her exceptionally beautiful & intelligent. Kids love the Deep in the Heart of Texas song, because of the lively tune & the clapping. I always liked it as a kid. Here's the tune to Deep in the Heart of Texas: http://www.lsjunction.com/midi/deep_tex.mid And here are the lyrics: Deep in the Heart of Texas The stars at night, are big and bright, (clap x 4) deep in the heart of Texas, The prairie sky is wide and high, (clap x 4) deep in the heart of Texas. The sage in bloom is like perfume, (clap x 4) deep in the heart of Texas, Reminds me of, the one I love, (clap x 4) deep in the heart of Texas. The coyotes wail, along the trail, (clap x 4) deep in the heart of Texas, The rabbits rush, aroung the brush, (clap x 4) deep in the heart of Texas. The cowboys cry, "Ki-yip-pee-yi," (clap x 4) deep in the heart of Texas, The dogies bawl, and bawl and bawl, (clap x 4) deep in the heart of Texas.
