I am not a big sports fan, except NASCAR, but the Texas Rangers baseball team just whooped the New York Yankees for the American League Championship (4 games of 7) and will be playing in the World Series that starts next week. Their opponent hasn't been determined yet but it will either be Philadelphia Phillies or San Francisco Giants.

First time in the 38 year history of the Rangers. And the crowds are going wild!!!

So I guess this is what they mean by moving up to the big league?

How wonderful for the team and supporters. :D I don't care much about soccer and such myself, but I do understand the supporters. ;)

I'm not a sports fan either (except for equestrian ones) but I hope the Texas Rangers defeat whatever team they're up against. :-D

Ooops, I have been forgetting to update this topic.
The Rangers are playing the San Francisco Giants in the World Series now. The Giants won the first two games on Wed and Thurs but the Rangers won the game tonight.
First team to win 4 games will win the series, so there are at least two more games. Tonight, Sunday and Monday the games are in our area...which means on Monday Randy works from home since his office is less than two miles from the stadium and traffic will be a nightmare in that area.
