There are so many holidays this month...from Bodhi Day (Buddha's Enlightenment day) to New Years Eve. So my wish is for all who have a special holiday this month to have a safe, fun, meaningful celebration. And HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL

Thank you for the good wishes Frank, Eileen, Toni and Marlingardener....Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all..

Eileen...your post picture is beautiful. I love the falling snow even though we have none on the ground in my part of Wisconsin. I know it will come eventually...

Today is the Winter Solstice, a very important holiday for some members of the worlds population. The Solstice occurs tonight at 10:49 p.m. Central Standard Time so you can figure out what time that is for your location, meaning this coming night will be the longest of the year and the days start getting longer tomorrow. And astronomically, this is also the beginning of Winter.

In the Southern Hemisphere it is the Summer Solstice. Long nights are beginning while the days are getting shorter for them and is the first day of Astronomical Summer.

Happy Holidays to all of you.

We haven't got any snow either, but we're on a storm warning again. First one this evening and the next one the day after tomorrow. Yay! I'm so glad the sun's turned. I really dislike the very short days at this time of year. I'm glad we can fill the long nights with lots of candles and decorative lights.
