    The Anna's stay all the year round, I will post a page of birds that I photograph in winter. But today it's the Anna's famale.

    Hummingbirds have always held a fascination for me ever since I saw some in a zoo as a child. It's incredible that these tiny birds can survive in such diverse climates.

    I have never seen a live hummingbird in nature, only in greenhouses. I really like them. She's lovely.

    Thank you all for the messages. We have two visiting now as the Rufous has returned, the Anna's stays all year round.

    She is a beauty. I haven't seen any darting around much yet. But my time outside is limited.
