In the fall, towards the end of the growing season, we hold a "Show" in the club house. Members can show whatever they want as long as it comes off their plot. I will show a few pics which will give you an idea of how it goes. This is a good time to meet-up with fellow gardners and talk about how the season went and find out about new things tried. We displayed the potatos that we tried this year and placed a little info page telling about each type. We were not able to get our piece displayed early because of my work hours, and thus got relagated to an out of the way table. chuckle. Nonetheless, it could still be viewed and there were some interested folks. I am going to put all of the fotos on a sort of slide show to be viewed on the website later, but this gives a fair idea of what the members had to show shown. Here are our spuds stalled-out at home, cleaned and drying. ...and here they are displayed at the show. Now that that is out of the way, here are some shots of the 'real' show items. First a few overviews The biggest Kohl Rabi I have ever seen. It was a special type. Various preserved things Look at the size of that 'mater

Lovely, beautiful, nice, showy, wonderful! I'd love to experience a show like that some time. You and your fellow gardeners must have put in lots of time to arrange everything so inviting.
Beautiful displays of some wonderful produce Sjoerd. The curtains in the background enhance the displays very well.
What a wonderful way for everyone to be able to showoff their success each year. The displays are great, looks like everyone had bumper crops whether they were flowers or vegies.
This is a wonderful way for your gardening community to come together and enjoy each other's accomplishments. Those potatoes of yours are winners. After all, if I had one thing to chose for a meal, it would be spuds. Gardengater
Makes me want to live in your land, Sjoerd . . . Everything looks so good, and is so attractively displayed. Thank you for sharing . . . nice variety of spuds you have there . . . YUMMY!
I'm really glad that you guys enjoyed the Fall Harvest displays. It was such fun. I am glad that folks are still contributing every year. It would be a shame if they lost interest. I walked around and looked at all the displays several times and asked some people about their contributions. I was especially interested in that huge Khol Rabi. I can imagine that one would only need 304 of those to get enough to freeze-in. I could save some room in the garden also. BTW, SoJ--it's great hearing from you again. Long time, no see.
Now that is one mumma of a kohl rabi! I'm lucky if mine get to the size of a golf ball!! A lovely display Sjoerd, I do like the autumn harvest most of all, so colourful!
