Yes spring is finally comming to the Artic, and not a day to soon either, in my opinion. Were up to 16 hours a day of daylight, so pretty soon,,, its summer!!! just one more month!

I'm glad your tulips are coming up. I posted some of mine yesterday. You have a lot to catch up on for sure. Only a month until summer and you still have all that snow and ice. Yikes! dooley

The clump of Snowdrops is pretty, mine never did bloom but I did have quite a few Snowflakes blooming.

My Tulips were a bust this year, hope you get blooms from yours.

Snowdrops are the prettiest sight, congratulations on yours! :D At least you've got greenery now. Does the fjord normally thaw this early?

My snowdrops and crocus's have just stopped blooming. Now it's the turn of the daffodils to brighten the garden. Isn't it just THE best thing when spring begins to show her face? :D

Yes, I just love when the plants start to show up in the spring,, its the best feeling i think to know the earth is giving life renewed again. I agree Eileen it is THE best feeling,,lol.

Things will speed up here now, but it will take until the sun is out for 20 hours a day to help heat up.

The fjørd takes about a month to break up, its already starting. So this is about right on schedule, by May it will be free flowing and low tide until about August. Over Easter we were still skiing out there but with in a few days we started to see some clear blue. that means thin ice and well it is the sea, so now we stay off.

Glad to see that you have some plants growing even with all that snow. I think you are a little further ahead of me - my Daff's have just poked out of the ground and no sign of my Tulips yet.

I can't imagine having 16 hours of daylight much less 24. Glad your plants are popping through the snow and your spring time is near. Happy gardening! ;)
