Hi everybody, this is my first post. I have a bedroom that gets a little afternoon sunlight and it is BONE DRY in my house because the air conditioner is always running. I was thinking that I should put some houseplants in the window to increase the oxygen in my house (and possibly the moisture too?) :?: Can anyone recommend plants that are good for changing the air quality? Or at least warn me about plants that would not do well in a dry atmosphere... Thanks, Jayboo
Sansevieria Trifasciata is what first comes to mind. Also called Mother In Law's Tongue, it is a very easy keeper. muddy
Hi there Jayboo. Nice to have you here with us at the 'Stew.' :-D Almost any plant that enjoys dry conditions and requires frequent spraying with tepid water would be ideal for you I would think.
Philodendrons & aloe vera is suppose to be the best for air quality, by filtering out the toxins we breath. Also the larger the plant the better it filters the air. Doesn't filter out smoke.
