    Found this spud, a volunteer, in other words, one that grow from a potato left behind last year, and it is almost a kilo in weight. I had a few whoppers like this, and they were growing under weed supressing membrane, the foliage breaking through a squash planting hole. Unbelievable.

    It was fine Frank. Made LONG chips with it, a real treat as we don't have chips (fries) very often. Dug another of a similar size and had him baked in it's jacket....it took an age to cook through!
