They have been telling us for 4 days how bad the winter storm was going to be. They said it would start at midnight last night with snow accumulating to 6 to 10 inches for us. Had us in a Winter Storm Warning for all day today and Mon. Well here it is at 8 am and we have a total of 1 inch of new snow on the ground. Now they have us in a Winter Storm Advisory until 7 am Mon. It looks like we won't be getting anything at all until about 3 pm and then we will get rain showers! I'm not complaining, don't really need the snow or the rain either one. But this goofy weather man we have on the evening news needs to stop the horror weather predictions!

They sure do sensationalize the weather these days! I don't even take them seriously anymore ... just keep things stocked up and go day by day with the weather. There's nothing the weatherman or I can do about the weather ... we get what we get :)

We need moisture in the ground but I hope we don't get the amount predicted, 3-8 inches.

Hey Cap't, Here in Nebraska, we are having our first winter storm of the season. It began as rain yesterday, turned to snow and continues as I type at 10a.m. Sunday.
We have about 6 inches so far. It's very wet and heavy. The wind is strong, so it's blowing snow all around, making visibility difficult.
Before this, we had only accumulated 5 inches that fell in early December! January was mild and quite dry. I am happy to have the moisture and snowy blanket.
I don't have to go out in it. Just to clean off the drive and sidewalk.
Looks like you may be getting this snow system when it reaches Ohio.
