AS i've been working in the garden i've had cardinals singing away. So decided to post a piccie. Red Cardinal ( photo / image / picture from Danjensen's Garden ) I've been annoyed with my camera work of late with lots of blurry shots of the Garden birds. So did some research online on how to get better shots. Came across this great article which might be of use to some of you. http://www.digital-photography-school.com/an-introduction-to-bird-photography For those of you interested i use a d50 with a 300mm lens, I changed settings for auto focus, aperature, shutter speed and ISO. I'm certainly happy with the better shots i'm getting.
They are indeed i have only had the pleasure of them the last 2 years since moving to Canada. now that i have better settings on the camera i'm looking to get some good shots of them over the next few weeks
You certainly have the setting on your camera just right now Dan as that shot is a beauty!! I look forward to many more bird photographs from you.
Beautiful photo Dan. I love the cardinals. The site looks great, I have bookmarked it and will go back and read it. I have a Nikon D5000 with 70-300 mm lens that I use for birds. Thanks
Thanks guys, The new settings do seem to give me less blur, which i put down to shake. And more of a blurry backdrop. Just have to wait for the birds to come visit, think i will top up all the bird feeders today thanks gfreiherr, i use the nikon 70-300 as well, does a great job for the price.
