I just saw today that Connecticut is fore casted to get their first nor'easter of the year.....6-10" of ssssssssnow starting Sat afternoon. eeeeewwwww!!!!! I know it's coming, but I am not in a hurry for it. It's great for the ski lift and sledding places though.

Amarillo, Texas had snow yesterday. A heavy, wet snow, almost 3 inches which is more than they normally would get in October. But alas and alack it totally missed me. :(

Wow, Toni! I wouldn't have guessed Texas would get snow before Ohio. Seeing how it took me 12 hours of straight driving to get to Texarkana and another 12 to get to Zapata and that wasn't even the entire state  I am amazed. Goes to show you how much I paid attention to the weather that direction, huh?

KK, Snow can fall anytime, somewhere here in the US. I think Denver, Co had a storm back in Sept of this year. I personally am not all that fond of it, it is fun once for me and then that is enough. i don't ski or bobsled, nor do I like to shovel it too much. It is actually very heavy and exhausting. You break a sweat surprisingly fast. Many people have heart attacks while shoveling, mostly because they aren't ready to work that hard and it has to be done in order to get your car out of the driveway or to make a path for the mailman to get to your house if you have walking delivery person. And 10" of snow is really not a hand job, it really needs to be done by a plow or snow blower, IF the snow is not too wet. Snow is really a lot of work.

Instead of "White Christmas," we'll soon be singing, "White Halloween." I'm in NJ, and the weatherman is saying we might see snow too, but it should quickly turn to rain. Problem is...we have had way too much rain already. So many times as I walk I see the remains of my neighbors finished basements heaped upon the curbside because of water damage and the resultant black mold. I'm one of the lucky ones and live on a slight rise. It has been a hard year.

No snow here in central Ohio, but I did have a skim of ice on the mud puddles from yesterday's rain. The birds food bowl had corn soup in it but it was frozen over this morning. They were not happy!

I just saw the same fore cast for central Pennsylvania. Oh My! I'm glad we have no plans for that direction this weekend. Today was supposed to be sunny and 50ish....but it was foggy until at least 1:00 today and then finally cleared out, but is not warm. I am looking forward to spring already.

I live in the center of PA. Six to ten inches of snow after midnight. I just dug my sweet potatoes this afternoon.

A layer of sleet was on my windshield this morning. I never remember seeing icy weather this early in the season. Sigh :( I hope it is not a foretaste of what is to come, :-D but my indoor plants are doing well...and I have several new packets of microgreens and sprouts to try through the winter months.
