' This hydrangea variety is called 'Endless Summer'. It is SO full of blooms! This variety is unusual because the blooms will set on old or new growth. Most hydrangeas only produce blooms on old wood. This bush has 137 (yes I HAD to count!) blooms. I have it in a part sun area. It is supposed to take the sun pretty well. I think it would be easier to take care of if I had it in less sun. I need to water every 2-3 days deeply or the plant gets very sleepy looking. I haven't moved it because my fear is that it might not make as many blooms in less sun. I can't wait till this hydrangea's color comes on strong. It is a very nice light to medium blue. I might not like roses much...but I love Hydrangea. This plant continues to make blooms all summer...hence the name 'Endless Summer'. love it love it love it
137 blooms - now that's really something Chitweed!!!! You MUST show us more photographs when those flowers all open. It's going to be absolutely stunning.
