The Fountainhead revisited

    Paid a visit to my other garden. It still needs some fine tuning, but overall it's acceptable as a landscape.

    The greatest problems encountered with this yard were the long distances involved (front entry to house is 400 feet) and the muck, nasty soil used to fill in the property where the home was built.

    Some of these plantings are mine and some of them the owner.

    Looks really good. What are those trees with the reddish-brown leaves?

    Magnolia grandiflora d.d. blanchard. A superior form.

    I think the grounds look very nice. Lots of established growth and plenty of room for more if the urge takes you. :D
