    With apologies to Mr. Poe

The night had worn into the smaller hours of the morning and my eyes could stay open no more, I wandered through my bedtime ritual when……..

Suddenly there came a tapping, ?As of some one gently rapping,
rapping at my kitchen door. ?"'Tis some visitor," I muttered,
"tapping at my kitchen door- ? Only this, and nothing more."

The light was on when I checked the door to assure that it was secure and the visitor was plainly visible.

Clearly the visitor was lost and needed directions to the nearest tree. Camera in hand the visitor posed for a picture.

I then guided it to the nearest tree where it scurried up to a more secure location. My deed done I proceeded with my previous task.
