Although I still have some plants with color in the garden (Dahlia's and Roses that just WON'T give up!)
this Monkshood is always the last of my plants to bloom. Now I know it really IS over...

How gorgeous. Wish I had some of that in my yard next year. Heck down here in Texas we don't have any winter. It might grow all the time! But it is beautiful ;)

It really is pretty! I love the purple . . it's a shame the color is coming to an end for the year.

Monkshood...aka Wolfbane, you probably aren't bothered by werewolves. What a way for the growing season to end, lovely burst of color.

coolalaskan-I honestly don't know if it's native! I'll have to look into that!

Wolf's Bane, is that Aconitum? I've got a blue and white one, but that has long since died down. Beware of the roots, they are very poisonous and no edibles should be grown near an Aconitum. Just in case anybody didn't know.
