Caught this Anna's Hummingbird trying to get a drink. I have 6 dishes around the deck but it wanted the running water coming out of the tube.

Gee that position looks rather uncomfortable to say the least. If you hadn't told us first that it was a hummingbird I'm not sure I'd have recognised it as one. What an intelligent little bird to think of getting a drink that way.

I have a few hummers around and it is fun to watch them. Will you be sending in a picture for our Earth Day?

yeah that first pic looks like you caught it by bonking it on the head :p

Cool pics, I've never seen them drink from anything but a feeder before.

Nothing special Eileen but wildlife is always nice from other areas.

A hummingbird with a one track mind. It would be interesting if the bird showed up againto take another drink the same way.

Leave it to you to catch a shot like that, well done.
I've heard that they like to drink water that is gently flowing over rocks. I could never figure out
how to replicate that type of situation in my backyard, but you've got it pegged.

Haha, he really goes to a lot of trouble for a drink. :D I want to see live hummingbirds. They don't live in Europe.
