We've been picking lettuce and pulling radishes for a while, but this morning I waded out into the big vegetable garden and picked green beans, five squash, and a handful of small red potatoes. It was so mucky I nearly lost a boot in the mud, but managed to get out with both boots and a shred of pride.:sete_054:

Despite the weather it's good to know that you can still manage to harvest your veggies. They must have tasted extra special!!

I am so jealous! I wont be harvesting anything for a while. Actually, that's not true ... I've been picking lots of Asperagus! Some fresh radish, beans and potatoes sound good too!

What a great feeling MG! Really allows one to feel connected to the earth, plus providing a delicious supper to 'boot' :stew1:

KK Ng, I have the feeling that, being in France, you are probably getting some pretty delicious meals! However, I'd be pleased and proud to set places for you and Becky anytime you're in Texas.

Same here MG . Lettuce by the ton,, starting on second batch of radishes,,spinach was doing great till last rain (3 1/2 inches) now doesn`t look too good . Needs to dry out a bit. Already giving away squash, zuchinni just getting started, potatoes in full bloom, Red La Soda`s last week for dinner ,Yukon Gold tonight. Tomatoes are sprawling and eggplant are blooming. Turnip greens may need to be replanted or topped off,, they are blistering from too much water and Texas heat. Still there is way more than we can eat so a good year so far.
