These things have been mulling around in my mind for a while and the 100+ temps of late got me into the crafting room to actually get them done. Now I just have to wait for a cooler day to get them out in the garden. Some will lay on the ground and the plaques will be hanging around somewhere...

This is a piece of tree limb, flat on the bottom where it was cut from the tree and angled from where it was cut off the limb.

I have a stack of scrap lumber in the backroom just waiting for more of these plaques....these will be hanging around out in the yard somewhere...

These are flat stones my daughter didn't want in her aquarium any longer. They will just lay around on the ground or in planters.

I think I will get more of the flat stones. Maybe some larger ones for some other quotes I have collected.

Those are great... and look like will last a long time.
At least this heat is good for something... forcing gardeners indoors to complete some projects. :-D

I love the one about the tiger lily talking! Is that from.. Through the Looking Glass? Alice in Wonderland?

Yeah, the quote is from Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carrol, I just forgot to put his name on the plaque.

Love your sentiments, Toni! If this heat lasts, you will have a regular cottage industry going there with your plaques. I bet I know what everyone is getting for Christmas (I like the dragon one, particularly, hint, hint).

Here's praying for more heat in Texas! Your creations are fun to see, and I adore the flat stones, but I think the wood piece is my favourite. I have a thing for dragons. :D

    Thanks you all.

Cheryl, clearing out some of the undone projects is the ONLY reason I would even think of hoping for continued hot weather.
    ;)

Thanks Bunkie, I love to dabble around with these type of crafts instead of the kit things...that's why my craft room and closet and backroom are filled with stuff

Jane, the only problem is that no one else in the family has the same style of decorating sense that I have and wouldn't really want any of them. After my collection of Witches, Gargoyles and Snowmen, I like my collection of Dragons best.

Droopy, that wood piece sat in my craft room for about 4 years before this idea came to me. I love dragons too, I have a few plushies and I have one who keeps watch over the gardens, his name is Daniel. I will have to post a photo of him, he is greyish purple and really cute.

My favourite is the one that says "Where you believe there is magic - you will find it. How true!! Every time I plant a seed and it grows I know Mother Nature has cast her spell over my garden. :-D

The dragon plaque is priceless. As it gets hotter this summer no words will ring truer.

"Poof! My job here is done", is this for when wizards visit your garden Toni? I really like all of these but more partial to the tree limb canvas. Well done!
