We have 4 Pontoon Boat parties each season. Anyone on the lake can come, and you can even come in a boat other than a pontoon boat. The pontoon boats all line up out in the middle of the lake, and tie off to one another in a long line. The other boats tie off where ever they can. Everyone brings something to snack on, and offers it on their boat. That encourages folks to go from boat to boat sampling all the goodies. The party is BYOB. Following are some random candid shots of our friends and neighbors at the festivities. Yip, I remember having boat parties down on Lake Fenton (downstate). A bunch of boats would just tie off of one another. Sometimes they would even have belly smacking contest or swimsuit contest. aahhh, those were the days....
That looks like so much fun. Thanks for sharing your party pics with us. That is as close as I will ever get to a party like that!
It was a really good time, there were 12 boats, and 70 people. There was a slight breeze, and we floated over near shore. We needed to start several motors, and power the whole group back out into the lake. It is just too deep to anchor out there. About 90 feet deep.
What a grand party you had.It looks like everyone and their dogs a day that will be remembered until next year.
